Costco Catalina Crunch Cinnamon Toast Keto Cereal Review
Costco is selling a Keto Cereal and it looks really good. I was very excited to try the Catalina Crunch from Costco. One of our favorite cereals is Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but we don’t buy it that often because it’s definitely not that healthy, and it’s loaded with sugar and carbs.
I am always on the search for healthy alternatives and I figured that this might be just what I was looking for. The cereal on the bag looked just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and it even smelled just like it when I opened the bag. Sadly it didn’t taste like it. Here is everything you need to know.

Catalina Crunch Cereal Taste
When I opened the bag, I was very excited because I could immediately smell the cinnamon on the cereal. It smelled and looked so similar to Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I was so excited to try it. When I first tasted the cereal, it tasted just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but just a few moments after taking my first bite I tasted a super strong aftertaste of stevia.
Honestly I loved the taste of the cereal, it was also very crunchy which was nice, but I just don’t like the after taste of the artificial sweetener. To be fair, I am someone who doesn’t eat any artificial sweeteners.
I know that many people love and use stevia, and in the past I have tried it a few different times, I just don’t like the taste. I personally try to just not eat foods filled with sugar, instead of using artificial sweetener.
In addition to not liking the taste, it always makes my stomach upset. I should have looked at the ingredients on this Keto Cereal before purchasing. If I would have noticed that it had stevia I would have passed. Just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean that you won’t. I actually really enjoyed it until I tasted the stevia aftertaste.
What Others Thought
Whenever I try something that I don’t like, just to be fair, I like to include what other people think of the product. Since everyone’s taste is a bit different it’s nice to hear from more than just one person.
I did some research and read over some reviews and discovered that overall the product is rated an average of 4 stars. Many people felt the same way as I did about the stevia taste and gave the cereal not so great reviews.
Although some people did really like this cereal, and stated that it even tastes just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There were a few people that did like the cereal but that also agreed that it also tasted like stevia.
Final Thoughts
I really wanted to love Catalina Crunch Cereal. I am disappointed that I didn’t like it, and won’t be purchasing it again.
Honestly, I really do think that if you are used to and don’t mind stevia as a sweetener that you would probably like this cereal. If you do find that you like it, it’s definitely got a ton of benefits.
It has less sugar, is Keto friendly, 100% plant based, and perfect if you are a diabetic or a vegan.
While I didn’t personally care for it, I do agree that it’s a healthier alternative, and if you are a regular stevia user then I would recommend that you try it. On the other hand, if you are like me and you are not used to stevia and artificial sweeteners, then I would not recommend it.
