Cooking Instructions
There are options for heating the scalloped potatoes in the microwave or oven on the microwave.
Cooking the Scalloped Potatoes
I decided to heat mine in the oven. First I removed the tray from the package. It comes in a black plastic tray with a clear plastic film covering the tray.
I then removed the clear plastic film from the plastic tray. I then placed the black tray of scalloped potatoes onto a baking sheet and cooked in a preheated oven for 25 minutes at 350 F. After 25 minutes I removed the tray from the oven. It was cooked perfectly.
Taste
The scalloped potatoes were so creamy and delicious. The actual potatoes were pretty thick and covered in a creamy sauce.
There was some cheese mixed into the potatoes, but it was mostly on the top of the dish. They were perfectly creamy and not too cheesy. Scalloped potatoes are the perfect comfort food, and I was surprised by how delicious these tasted.
Main Street Bistro
These scalloped potatoes are made by Main Street Bistro. I have actually tried a few other dishes from this company and they have been very good.
Their products are made at different facilities located across the United States, are freshly refrigerated and then distributed to the nearest regions for maximum freshness.
Can you Freeze the Scalloped Potatoes?
The potatoes are never frozen. They are also not intended to be frozen, but instead they should be stored in the refrigerator and then eaten by the “use by date” on the package.
On the FAQ section of the website it states that freezing the potatoes and defrosting could negatively impact the texture and sauce consistency of the dish.
Final Thoughts
These scalloped potatoes were a quick and easy side dish. They were so easy to bake in just 25 minutes, and were very good.
If you love potatoes and are looking for a delicious side dish, then I would definitely recommend that you try this.
