Costco Organic Fresh Strawberries Review
Did you know that Costco sells strawberries? Not only are they fresh and organic, but they are very affordable. This is a win win! I am always trying to keep fresh food options in my fridge for the kids, so I try and buy berries as much as possible.
These strawberries are always so fresh and last for longer than one’s I have purchased at other stores.

Price
The cost of the 2 pound package of organic strawberries at is $6.99. Compared to other stores, this is the best price I have found for organic strawberries. On average, the strawberries are priced about $1-2 cheaper than other stores in my area.
They are so Fresh
The Strawberries are grown and packaged by Driscolls out of Watsonville, CA. I do live in California, so maybe that is why they are always so fresh.

The weird thing is that I have purchased this same brand of strawberries at other stores in my local area and they are never as fresh.
It is possible that Costco just gets them to their warehouse faster than other stores do. I don’t know how they do it, but I know that Costco is a great place to buy all kinds of berries, including strawberries.
When I am picking out strawberries I always turn them upside down to see if they are getting soft on the bottom of the package. To buy the freshest strawberries, you want to make sure they are just as fresh on the bottom as they are on the top.
In this photo you can see that the strawberries look very fresh even on the bottom of the container. Buying the freshest strawberries will make sure that they taste better, and last longer.

Taste
Not only are the strawberries fresh, they also taste really great. The strawberries are plump, juicy and sweet.

Of course, the taste of strawberries is going to vary depending on the season, and how ripe the strawberries were when they got picked and packaged.
If the strawberries are picked and packaged before they are ripe, they will not have a sweet taste. This means that the strawberries might not be exactly the same depending on the batch or the time of year.
I can say that I have purchased the strawberries many times in the past and I have never been disappointed.

Convenience
The 2 pound package of strawberries is pretty big. The only reason that I would recommend that you purchase strawberries at a different store is if you won’t be able to eat this big package before they spoil.
I love the larger package because my family loves to eat a ton of strawberries, so we don’t ever waste them. If it was just me, then I would probably buy a smaller package from another store. The large 2 pound package from Costco is also great if you are having a party.
Final Thoughts
I personally have had great luck with buying the fresh Organic Strawberries from my local store. They always are fresh and taste great. I love the price, and the larger 2 pound container
If you are looking to buy some organic strawberries I would recommend that you try the ones.
