Costco has so many great deals on seasonal items for getting your back yard or patio looking great for spring and summer. If you are looking to update that old deck or patio, these might be just what you need. Here is what you should know.
I found these EasyTile Deck Tiles in the seasonal section near the center of the store. Every year around February – May Costco starts selling outdoor items for spring and summer. They have some of the best deals on outdoor home items.

- 12” x 12” deck tiles.
- Quick-click connection.

- Outdoor use only.
What is Included
Each pack includes 10 tiles that are 12” x 12”. Each pack is enough to cover about 10 square feet. If you are not sure how many that you will need, just know that 1 tile = 1 square foot.
Measure the square footage of the space you need to cover and buy the same amount of tiles. For example, if you need to cover 20 square feet you will need 20 tiles (2 packs).
These deck tiles are made by the company Easy Tile and are Eco Friendly because they are constructed with 100% recycled materials. They are made of recycled rubber from used car and truck tires that would normally go to the landfill.
The tiles are easy to maintain and install. Installation can be complete in just one day because of the simple quick-connect interlocking system that is built into the tiles.
The deck tiles are for outdoor use only. They are durable, all-weather resistant, and can be easily cleaned by spraying them down with a hose. While they are called Deck Tiles, they could also be used in any outdoor space such as a balcony or patio.
However, you cannot use them in your garage, or somewhere where you will have heavy weight (such as a car) as they are not made to support very heavy loads. They can even be used to cover concrete or masonry as long as the surface is flat and level.
These Deck Tiles have a beautiful slate black with straight line grooved pattern in them.I really love the dark color and the design. They do look very beautiful and would definitely update an outdoor space.
Installing the Easy Deck Tiles
I didn’t actually purchase these Deck Tiles, so I can’t say how easy it is to install, but I did some research and found some helpful videos and they seem very easy to put together. Here is a great video that explains exactly how to install the deck tiles.
In the video a woman demonstrates how she easily installs the tiles on a balcony.
The tools that she uses are the following:
- Rubber mallet.
- Gloves.
- Safety goggles.
- L shaped ruler.
- Pencil / permanent marker.
- Tape measure.
- Knee pads.
- Razor knife.
Optional tools include.
- Small clamps.
- Masking tape.
- Sand paper.
- Jig saw.
Each of the tiles includes interlocking tabs on two sides that attach the tiles together. They are easily attached using a malat.
The hardest part of installation will most likely be cutting the tiles so that they fit on your deck or balcony just perfectly. These tiles do not need to be nailed or screwed down.
What Other People Thought
I did some research on these Deck Tiles and it seems like these tiles had very mixed reviews. Overall they were rated about 3.5 stars. Many were very happy with the results of the deck tiles and said that they were fairly easy to install. Others didn’t like the look of the tiles and complained of a rubber smell when they heated up.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking to update your space, then this might be just what you need. These tiles do have a beautiful color and pattern. The example photo on the package also looks very nice.
After watching the installation video they seem easy enough to install. I also think that $19.99 for tiles that cover 10 square feet is a decent price. This makes each of the tiles about $2 each.
Since each tile covered one square foot, you would be paying about $2 per square foot to cover your space. It’s hard to say for sure if this product is great, since the reviews aren’t the best, and many people didn’t like them.
However, they do look very pretty, and many of the reviewers really loved how their space looked with these tiles. If you have been looking for an easy and affordable way to give your outdoor area an update, they might be worth checking out.
