Ordering a Costco Pizza (Prices, Sizes, and More!)
We all know that you can get slices of pizza from the Costco food court. Did you know that you can order entire Costco Pizzas to-go? While the pizzas are super affordable and taste great, ordering a full sized pizza from Costco can be confusing.
Since Costco doesn’t have much information about the pizza order process, I put together this complete post on everything that you need to know about ordering, paying for, and picking up your Costco Pizza.
It includes the most commonly asked questions about price, sizes, flavors, and more. I hope that this helps make it easier of you!
Costco Pizza
You can order a Costco Pizza, by phone, at the check stands, or at the Food Court self service checkout. After you order and pay for your pizza you will just wait in the food court pick up area until your number is called. If you need it ready in advance, you should call ahead.
Can You Call in Your Order?
Yes, you can call your local Costco and order your pizza over the phone. This is the best way to make sure that your pizza will be ready when you arrive.
If you are ordering a lot of pizza, for a party or need the pizzas to be ready at a certain time, calling ahead is definitely recommended. When placing your call you will call your local Costco and choose the option to be connected to the food court.
How long does it take?
On average it will take about 20-30 minutes for your Kirkland Pizza from the food court to be done. If the food court is really busy, or they have other orders to fulfill it may take longer.
Since you can never predict how many other orders the food court will have, it’s always best to call ahead. I would try and call at least 30 minutes to one hour before you will need to pick up your pizza.
When you place your order over the phone they will give you an estimate of when your pizza will be done.
When I called and ordered my two pizzas that I purchased for this post, the store employee said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived after 30 minutes and the pizzas were ready to be picked up.
Sizes and Prices
Costco has one size option (Large – 18” in diameter) and two topping options for ordering a whole pizza. You can buy a whole cheese or pepperoni pizza for $9.95.
You can also get a 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni for $9.95. If you want to buy just a pizza slice, it will cost $1.99.
While there aren’t many options to choose from when ordering pizza at Costco, it is still worth it because you get an extra large pizza for less than $10. This is such a great deal!
How many slices are in the Pizza?
There are a total of 12 slices in a whole Costco pizza. Since most people will eat about 2-3 pieces of pizza, one whole Costco pizza will serve about 4-6 people.
Costco’s pizzas are actually really big. While a Domino’s pizza is about 12 inches in diameter, the Costco pizza is 18 inches.
Paying for Your Pizza
You cannot pay for your Costco Pizza over the phone, you will have to pay at your local warehouse. If you are paying in Cash, you will need to pay at one of the checkstands.
If you are paying with a debit card, you can pay at the normal checkstands, the self-checkout, or at the self-service pay area of the Food Court.
When paying for your pizza at the self-checkout, you will need to tell the employee running the self-checkout area what kind and how many pizzas you would like to purchase. The employee will enter your order, and then you are able to pay with your debit card.
Recently Costco has installed a food court self-serve kiosk. If you are just buying pizza, and no other items, this is probably the easiest and fastest way to pay.
There are options right on the screen for how many and what kind of pizza you would like, and you just make your selection and pay.
Picking Up Your Order
Once you pay for your pizza, your receipt will have an order number. When you have this order number you can just stand near the Food Court, and the employees will call out the order numbers as they are ready.
Calories
There are 710 calories per slice of Costco cheese pizza. A slice of pepperoni has 650 calories.
Can I place an order Online?
No, currently you cannot order online. The only way to order is by phone or in person at your local warehouse.
Taste
Costco pizza tastes great! I have tried it many times and it never disappoints.
All the ingredients are good. The crust tastes great, the sauce is very good, and the toppings always taste amazing. There also seems to be just the perfect amount of sauce to cheese and dough ratio.
This is because Costco automates some steps in the pizza making process like stretching the dough and adding the sauce. So you always know just what to expect.
At many other pizza places I will sometimes get a pizza where the dough is too thick, or the sauce is too much or too little, but never at Costco.
The crust is not very thick or crispy, but it is also not a thin crust pizza. It is right in the middle.
If there was just one thing that I would have to say that I don’t like, that is that it is a bit greasy, but most pizzas are greasy so this is to be expected.
Final Thoughts
I hope that this post answers all your questions about Costco Pizzas! From stopping to get a slice of pizza after you’re done shopping to ordering whole pizzas for dinner or special events, Costco has some of the best pizza around.
It not only tastes great but is so affordable. For less than $10 for a huge 18” pizza you can’t go wrong. It’s the perfect option for an easy dinner, and an even better option if you are planning a party.
